Planet Infinity Anniversary 2009 featuring Jessica Cox
“Look, Ma. No hands! has been uttered by anyone of us who has ridden a bicycle and let go of the handle bars at one time or another. We believed that as soon as we could do that, we could do almost anything … well, almost.
Jessica Cox exemplifies one t
hat truly has accomplished, well, almost anything. Born without arms, Jessica overcame her lack of hands to prove that nothing is impossible if you have perseverance, imagination and creativity.
As the special guest of Planet Infinity’s 4th year anniversary celebration, Jessica wowed the crowed with an inspiring message of how she overcame the odds of not having arms and hands to hold things, type on a computer, send text messages through her cell phone, play piano, eat, drink and perform other chores that most of us do almost instinctively. But despite her lack in appendages, she does such tasks with ease and even with pizzazz.
All pales in comparison though to the next accomplishments of this young lady … amazingly, she has earned a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and even demonstrated her Nunchuks skills with her feet to the delight of the crowd. Now, can you do that?
Yet, more awe-inspiring is Jessica’s earning the first ever Pilot’s license issued to an individual who uses only her feet to fly a plane. Now, read that well: no hands!
Stay tuned by the way because this gym, Planet Infinity, believes in the best of what a person can do in achieving his or her goals when they put their minds and hearts into it. Jessica Cox and upcoming guests help us challenge young minds and hearts to be the best of what they can be, whether in the discipline of the Martial Arts or the discipline of overcoming obstacles in order to excel in whatever endeavor they venture into or are involved in.
